This three-stamp issue is the fifth set in the Indigenous Leaders series. It celebrates Indigenous leadership in sport, honouring three figures – Wilton Littlechild, Bryan Trottier and Edward Lennie – whose contributions have shaped athletic excellence and cultural pride across Indigenous communities.

This year’s honourees were chosen in consultation with the Assembly of First Nations, the Métis National Council and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami.

Seven-time Stanley Cup® winner and Indigenous hockey legend Bryan Trottier inspires future generations through sport and mentorship.

Known as the father of the Northern Games, Edward Lennie helped to preserve traditional Inuit sports and bring them to the Arctic Winter Games.

Cree leader Wilton Littlechild established several major Indigenous sports organizations and became a global advocate for Indigenous and Treaty rights.

This issue, designed by Tétro, features a vibrant, contemporary layout using bold geometric colour blocks in a modern, energetic style that reflects athletic excellence and cultural pride.
