Issued in collaboration, these commemorative coins offer a shared tribute to a monarch whose long reign shaped the modern identity of both countries; as Queen of the United Kingdom and of Canada, and as Head of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II served as a symbol of unity and devotion—a steady figure across generations and oceans, and a global figure of continuity and grace.

A two-mint tribute. Issued in collaboration with the Royal Mint, this two-coin set pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on what would have been her 100^th birthday.

One coin from each mint. This set adds two 1 oz. silver coins to your collection: one from the Royal Canadian Mint and one from The Royal Mint, both struck in fine silver to Proof standard.

The coin from The Royal Mint features a reverse design by Timothy Noad MBE and shows Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Cypher, with foliage inspired by ironwork at St George’s Chapel, the resting place of the late queen. The obverse features the portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The coin from the Royal Canadian Mint features a reverse design by Neil Hamelin and shows Queen Elizabeth II riding her horse Burmese during Trooping the Colour. The obverse features Susanna Blunt’s effigy.

Joint certificate. Your two-coin set comes with a joint serialized certificate of authenticity.

Elegant presentation. The coins are presented together in a clamshell case that allows for side-by-side viewing, and packaged in an outer beauty box bearing the logos of both mints.

Did you know?

Depicted on the $20 coin, Burmese was the first of eight horses presented to Queen Elizabeth II as a gift from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The former Musical Ride horse quickly became one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite horses, and carried her in the annual Trooping the Colour from 1969 until 1986, which marked Burmese’s last public appearance. The beloved black mare died in 1990.

“For this design, I wanted a noble and powerful perspective of Queen Elizabeth II on Burmese to celebrate the 100^th anniversary of her birthday. To do this, I chose to capture her from the front-left side, elevated slightly so we’re looking up at her—a position of power and nobility.”

The reverse design by Canadian artist Neil Hamelin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II riding her horse Burmese during a Trooping the Colour ceremony, along with a wreath composed of maple leaves and her favourite flower, the lily-of-the-valley. Beside Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Cypher, the double dates “1926 2026” commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the late monarch’s birth and features her Royal Cypher. features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
